October 24— The James Addams Family Gathering 🥀
Prepare for a night of sinister fun as The James transforms for our Addams Family Halloween event. Join us on October 24th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for cold drinks, dark bites, and a hauntingly good time with your neighbors. Come dressed in your best costume—whether you're channeling Morticia, Wednesday, or your own dark creation—and enter our costume contest to win top honors. Don’t be afraid of the dark… we’ll see you there.

We’re excited to share that our scheduled garage power washing has officially wrapped up! Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and help moving vehicles during the process. The garage is clean, refreshed, and looking great. We truly appreciate your support in keeping The James looking its best every day!

22nd Annual Micailhuitl Día de los Muertos Ceremony
Gather with the community for San Jose’s longest-running Day of the Dead celebration! Held on the spacious outdoor grounds of History Park, the 22nd Annual Micailhuitl Ceremony brings the rich cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos to life. Experience breathtaking Aztec dance ceremonies, view intricate community-built altars (ofrendas), browse local artisan market stalls, and enjoy authentic food, music, and family-friendly activities. It's a powerful and vibrant autumn gathering you won't want to miss!

"I highly recommend living at The James! When I first looked at the reviews prior to my move in, it was obvious that there were concerns with previous managers who no longer work here. I'm happy to report that Johnny, Vincent, Ivory, and the rest of the management team have all been incredibly fair, professional, and helpful since my move in. The management and staff take great care of the property and communicate well with residents. Work orders are usually addressed within 24 hours by a great maintenance crew. My apartment was in great shape during move in and I have a gorgeous view of downtown and the mountain range from my west-facing balcony. There are nice amenities here including a pool, hot tub, dog park, designated extra-quiet work area, and common area with kitchen. Residents are friendly here and frequently chat in the elevators. There is plenty of parking and the building is very secure. There is occasional noise from folks on the road blasting music from their cars on weekend evenings, but this is offset by the property being walkable to SJSU and a ton of cool places in downtown as well as the VTA blue and green lines. I'm extremely happy with my choice and look forward to continuing to live at The James!"

Downtown San Jose’s SoFA District and historic San Pedro Street corridor host the annual Halloween FrightCrawl, bringing hundreds of neighbors together in costume. It’s a great way to enjoy a crisp October evening walking between local venues, checking out creative costume contests, and experiencing Downtown’s nightlife with friends!
