As we soak up the final stretch of the season, our calendar is packed with resident events, local highlights, and great ways to connect with your neighbors. We’re also constantly working on enhancements around the building, and we’re excited to announce that all three elevators have officially received updated flooring! August 22— BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH! ✏️
Gear up for the new school year with your neighbors! Join us on Saturday, August 22nd, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for lunch, music, and seasonal fun. We’re firing up a neighborhood Scavenger Hunt with a special prize waiting for the grand winner! 🏆 Grab a plate, test your clue-solving skills, and let’s celebrate the end of summer together. See you there!

Community Updates
Here are a few quick community updates to keep on your radar:
We have a light at the end of the tunnel regarding the leasing office elevator! After following up daily with our vendor, we just received confirmation that the necessary repair is officially scheduled for TODAY, Thursday, August 6th.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while this elevator has been out of service. Our team is pushing to have it fully operational as quickly as possible tomorrow, and we will update you as soon as it’s ready to ride!

Looking for a new neighborhood spot for lunch or quick market runs? Sakura Market is now open less than a 10-minute walk from our front door on South Market Street! Designed after Japan’s famous konbini convenience stores, it features a fun interactive DIY ramen station, fresh sushi and bento boxes, custom matcha lattes, and a great variety of imported snacks and beverages. It’s the perfect stroll for a quick lunch, an afternoon sweet treat, or convenient grocery essentials right in our downtown backyard!

Mark your calendars for August 7–9 as the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest returns to take over Plaza de Cesar Chavez—just a short stroll from The James! Featuring dozens of live performances across multiple outdoor stages, this iconic weekend festival brings world-class jazz, R&B, Latin, soul, and funk artists right to our front door. Beyond the incredible live music, you’ll find vibrant food vendors, outdoor drink gardens, and an unforgettable summer energy flowing through downtown. It’s one of the Bay Area's premier music events and an absolute must-visit for our residents this August!

Is your pet ready for their close-up? We are currently looking for new stars to feature in our Pet of the Month and Birthday Celebration highlights! We love celebrating the four-legged (and feathered!) friends that make our community so special.
If you’d like to see your pet featured in an upcoming newsletter, simply let the office know with a cute photo and a fun fact or two (like their favorite treat, a funny quirk, or their "vibe"). Let’s make your best friend a local celebrity!
